The Green political council appointed Petra De Sutter and Tinne Van der Straeten as Minister for Civil Service and Public Enterprises and as Minister for Energy.

Petra De Sutter will be Deputy Prime Minister." Together with the government team and with all officials, I want to contribute to the modernization and digitization of the government. I am proud to be minister for civil service and public companies. The corona crisis showed that we need a powerful government to safeguard the public interest." Petra De Sutter (1963) is valued across party lines for her scientific expertise. As a gynaecologist and fertility expert, she is always in favour of a sound, objective approach. In 2019 she moved from the Senate and the Council of Europe to the European Parliament. There she is the first green chairman of the Committee on internal market and consumer affairs. Ever since her political debut, Petra has been able to put health and human rights high on the agenda, in Belgium and in Europe. Together with Green president Meyrem Almaci, she recently wrote the book The Right Direction: Opportunities After Corona. The Sutter lives Horebeke.Tinne Van der Straeten "Incredibly grateful for the trust. We are taking our energy policy back into our own hands and bringing peace and security. We are pa opening the way for investment in renewable energy, creating thousands of new jobs and working on affordable energy bills." Tinne Van der Straeten (1978) made her comeback in national politics in 2019 after almost 10 years. on an Ecolo-Green list. Previously she was also a board of Mobility and Public Works in Koekelberg. Tinne is a lawyer specializing in energy and climate relations and has helped to build a successful law firm Blixt, which works for almost all major players in the electricity sector and industry.  She is determined to make the turnaround for a fair climate policy.2007 to 2010 and was also a member of mobility and public works in Koekelberg and vice-president of Groen.She lives in Koekelberg and is a councillor there. She is a director at KVS, CAW Brussels, King Baudouin Foundation and the district health centre De Brug. She is also a member of the University Council of the VUB.
