Vlaams Belang finds a sanction for sports journalist Eddy Demarez in response to his statements about the Belgian Cats, overcalled.

"The only mistake he has made is that he has not turned off his 'machine'," responds Flemish MP Klaas Slootmans. "Comments about each other's appearance should be possible in a private sphere, right in a democracy? Or are we not allowed to laugh anymore?". Demarez had made some jokes about the orientation and appearance of the players when the basketball ladies returned last month, without realizing that his microphone was still on. He has been suspended by vrt since the incident and has since been sanctioned. Vlaams Belang finds a sanction overscinded. "Demarez's statements did not make me fall off my chair," Slootmans said in the Flemish Parliament. "At the time of the facts, thousands of people were affected by severe flooding. Then such a statement is a fait-divers." Katia Segers (Vooruit) reacted to be "shocked" by Slootmans' statements. "Because these top athletes achieved top performances after a long quarantine and it is "earth-shattering" to have to listen to such things." Slootmans was not impressed and answered Segers. "Come out, I would recommend that to you," it sounded. "People have had it with professionally heeded people and their long toes. And I have absolutely no lessons to get in LGBT rights. You have been the biggest importers of LGBT people for years with your stone to mass immigration from Muslim countries, as evidenced by the recent event with Riadh Bahri."
