The Direction National Socialist Women – Equality and Rights (MS-ID) promotes the debate on the impact of the digital transition on society, introducing the gender perspective in the analysis of the subject.

"Digital Transformation and Inequalities gender" is the title of the initiative that, next Monday, 17 February, from 6:30 p.m., joins, at the National Headquarters of the Socialist Party, a number of specialists in various engineering stemming from the new Technologies. Arlindo Oliveira, Professor at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and specialist in Artificial Intelligence, is the first speaker of a panel that also counts with the participation of Dalila Araújo, Researcher of the Portuguese Institute of Relations International (IPRI) and public policy specialist; by Rita Pereira, Student of Electrotechnical and Computer Engineering at IST; and Susana Monteiro, Student of Computer and Computer Engineering at IST. The debate will be moderated by journalist Lúcia Macau.José Luís Carneiro, Deputy Secretary-General of the PS, intervenes in the opening of this debate, 6:30 p.m., whose closure will be in charge of Elza Pais, President of the MS-ID and André de Aragão Azevedo, Secretary of State for transition Digital.Elza Pais considers that "this theme cannot fail to be analysed from the perspective of the gender, taking into account that all the studies submitted have been revealing that the role of women in the transformation of society" resulting from the process of "it is too important to be overlooked". In however, the leader of socialist women stresses "the reality shows that algorithms are programmed to differentiate in terms of gender, and this has an impact on women's lives, especially in the future reliant on digital technologies." "Yes, it's a concern," he says Elza Pais.
