Marcel Ciolacu, acting PSD president and president of the Chamber of Deputies, paid a working visit to Brussels on Monday, 17 February 2020.

The agenda included meetings with Sergey Stanishev, President of the Party of European Socialists, Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, in charge of the European Green Pact, and David Maria Sassoli, President European Parliament.' I want and I think it is a necessity for the PSD to regain its european party dimension. We need to reconnect to Europe. We need to resume dialogue and strengthen our relationship with friends and partners in our European family. This is the PSD road, this is romania's way! The PSD must return to the table of European dialogue and not return to closed, non-constructive and unfinalattitudes. We have an obligation to do so. We must advocate with dignity, but also wisely for the interests of our country," said Marcel Ciolacu.
