The Deputy spokesperson and spokesperson for Compromís in the Committee for Gender Equality and LGBT policies in Les Corts, Mònica Álvaro, has presented a proposal so that from the Valencian Parliament the Council is urged to approve a waiver of fees for vocational Training Studies (FP) and artistic teachings for victims of gender violence and macho and her daughters and children.

In addition, "we also propose that a specific scholarship is created for gender and macho victims and their daughters and children, for professional training and artistic education titles that, due to their characteristics, require an additional expense for the specific materials", Alvaro explained. According to the deputy of Compromís, "the Valencian Pact against Gender violence and sexist includes the & #8217; exemption in the payment of university taxes by those who are victims of gender violence and macho, as well as their descendants of first degree in their position under 25 years. This is a measure aimed at providing support from the educational institutions to those victims of gender-based violence and their children. " "From Compromís we believe that vocational training or artistic education also requires such support, even requiring an added support with respect to the materials that, in the majority of cases, these educational formations need to develop the courses. The same idiosyncrasy of many FP qualifications or artistic teachings makes the students or their families have to make extraordinary expenses in order to access these studies ". In that sense, "given the need to support victims of gender-based violence and and their descendants, and in compliance with the agreements of the Valencian Pact against Gender violence and sexist, it is necessary that the Valencian institutions put the necessary measures to give this support and guarantee & #8217; Access to these educational spaces, which is why we have presented this initiative", is concluded the deputy Mònica Álvaro.
