The warfare against Gaza is massive and disproportionate, and the disproportionate number of civilian deaths makes it difficult to reach any conclusion other than war crimes. No other state would be allowed to do what Israel does without harsh condemnation and reaction. When states violate international law so violently and when repressive regimes are to be influenced, economic sanctions are an obvious tool. Historically, we know that sanctions helped overthrow the apartheid regime in South Africa three decades ago. Therefore, we ask the government to consider what sanctions can be used to pressure the Israeli Government to comply with international law.
