Once again, first after the problem and the violent incidents between factions of foreigners in Old Nicosia, was the National Popular Front (E.LA.M.).

A delegation of our Party consisting of the District Officer of Nicosia, Giorgos Tooulas, as well as the Spokesman, Geadis Geadis, visited the historic center of Old Nicosia, where they talked with shopkeepers, citizens, as well as police officers who were on duty. We have received thorough information from the attendees, and several of the data we have collected will be examined in the competent parliamentary committee on Demographics and Migration. In addition, on Friday a delegation of our party also visited the Welfare Office in Lakatamia to be informed about the incidents that unfolded there last week, where dozens of illegal immigrants of African origin violently invaded the office, while they did not hesitate to hit the guard, as well as a female office officer who was hospitalized. The above facts alone sound the alarm, reminding the State of the imperative need to take measures of strict immigration policy, before we mourn victims.
