"I am pleased to be in Alba Iulia, a municipality that has so far achieved some progress.

The problem arises when the benchmark for the municipality of Albaiulians is no longer only the surrounding localities, but, in view of the development of European cities of the same rank, it must be borne in mind that the future local government should push this standard further. It is not enough to just talk about road infrastructure investments or money-absorbing for one thing in Urba's life. Future local councillors, counties and mayors must fully understand their job description and ensure the correct and rapid evolution of the other segments, for example: education, health system, tourism and last but not least the rural segment, especially agriculture, where Alba County can become a relevant pole in terms of the livestock sector. Together with my fellow MEPs, we have made considerable efforts to ensure that Romania and Romanians benefit from a high level of European funds, but it remains up to us all, that in the next local and parliamentary elections, we choose the right people in the right place, so that corruption, theft and political imposture no longer become obstacles in the process of absorbing and assimilating these funds. I will remain as dedicated to my fellow future councillors and mayors, and I promise them all the support that both I and my colleagues can offer so that Romanians can start living a life of European quality," said Dacian Cioloş, usr PLUS co-chair.
