The Swedish People's Party in Uusimaa has today nominated its first candidates for the welfare district elections.

In the elections, members of the councils are elected for the new welfare areas that will continue to take over responsibility for the organisation of social and health care and the rescue services in Finland. Mp Veronica Rehn-Kivi is one of the nominees.– I have had the privilege of participating in the work on a healthcare reform in parliament for two periods and with two different models and I can say that I have become quite familiar with the challenges of our healthcare system and with the content of the now approved healthcare reform, both what is good, what needs to be improved – and also its pitfalls, says Rehn-Kivi.Rehn-Kivi admits that there is a certain problem that the same people sit in many different positions of trust and at different decision-making levels. Nevertheless, the expertise in the objectives and content of healthcare reform and the interest in defending and developing services throughout the west New Zealand welfare area are arguing for running in this first election. This is where the business guidelines are drawn up, decisions for the entire service structure are made and important official posts are filled.– We need people who are ready to work for and preserve services that are important to us and that ensure that the service works reprehensibly also in Swedish, at all levels, from basic health care to special care and from child counselling to terminal care. That is why I have decided to stand for election," says Rehn-Kivi.
