On Thursday, Annie Genevard, Member of Parliament for Doubs, Vice-President of the National Assembly and President of the National Council of our Political Family, was the guest of the morning of the Opinion to talk about the municipal elections, especially in Paris, but also the pension reform or the shutdown of the Fessenheim nuclear power plant. When asked about Agnès Buzyn's candidacy for the Paris municipal election after the withdrawal of Benjamin Griveaux, Annie Genevard considers that "the entry into the campaign Agnes Buzyn was really unenthusiastic" because "she did not want to go and she gave in to the injunctions of the President of the Republic." The President of the National Council of Republicans also pointed to the inexperience of the former Minister of Solidarity and Health. On the shutdown of the Fessenheim nuclear power plant, the Member of Parliament for Doubs explained: "This is a decision of Emmanuel Macron to give pledges to the most eco-friendly of his majority.

This is a huge industrial mess because nearly 2,000 jobs are affected by Fessenheim! Annie Genevard also highlighted the ecological absurdity of this decision, pointing out that nuclear energy does not produce greenhouse gases and that "perhaps the coal-fired power plants" should have been shut down first, which is much more polluting. Finally, on the debate on pension reform currently taking place in the National Assembly, of which she is vice-president, Annie Genevard explained that "the project proposed by the majority is not the right one because it is not funded, it does not solve the problems and funding necessary for the sustainability of the pay-as-you-go system."
