The parliamentary group Compromís, has registered in Les Corts, a proposition not of law with which urged the central government and the Council to implement a series of measures to tackle the problem that prevents access to housing the young population.

According to the deputy Carles Esteve "among the proposed measures, we would like to emphasize the need of the central Administration to develop regulations that allow the autonomous Communities to regulate the abusive rises in the rental price in areas Also reorienting the state housing plan to guarantee affordable access to the rental ". "We also claim to the central government that, in order to favour the processes of emancipation of youth, we promote an increase in resources allocated to housing policy". Similarly, with this parliamentary initiative, the Council is urged to carry out a study of the increase in the rental price and the impact it has had on the access of the young population to the House, to improve the effectiveness of the assistance to the rental. Compromís also raises the need to constitute a monitoring bureau of the policies of access to housing for the young population between the second Vice-presidency and counseling of housing and bioclimatic Architecture and the Valencian Council of Youth. For Esteve "The data that has been made public by the Observatory of Emancipation of the Consejo de la Juventud de España for 2019 are very worrying. Thus only 2 out of 10 young Valencians can emancipate themselves before the age of 30. This fact is due to the precariousness suffered by youth, marked by a high temporality and bias in employment, and for rental prices that make housing inaccessible. The prices of the rent have increased in abusive way in the big Valencian cities in the last five years; In Valencia the price of the rental has risen by 47%, to Alicante a 33% and to Castellón 39%. In this way a young person has to devote more than 70% of his salary for the access to a free house, we are facing an alarming situation that disables youth emancipation. " "From Compromís we ask for urgent measures in the housing policy in the face of the impossibility of youth to become emancipated. We are faced with an emergency situation, in which a right as is that of the dwelling is inaccessible for the unfair rental prices. Youth must be a priority within the State plan of the dwelling, as it is the poorer age group of the entire population. " For Esteve "We need to prioritize housing policy at the state level, increasing the funds allocated to housing policy until I reach the level of other European countries, and legislate to stop the abusive rises of rental price. In this sense we claim to the state the transfer of competencies to determine tensioned areas and to regulate the abusive rises in the rental price, to ensure that housing is an effective right ".
