The "Need for Europe" list led by Valérie Hayer includes four UDI representatives (two of whom are in the first thirty candidates).

She is committed to housing, the environment and sport. Valérie Gonzo-MassolValérie Gonzo-Massol is a Departmental Councillor of Haute-Savoie and Vice-President of SDIS 74, former Deputy Mayor of Annecy in charge of disability. She is very involved in issues of solidarity and the fight against domestic violence and violence against women. On 6th May Valérie Hayer presented the 48 proposals of the project on her "Need for Europe" list. The work carried out by our movement over the past eight months around Louis Giscard d'Estaing and James Chéron has been praised by our partners. In total, 18 of our 27 proposals have been included in the common project of the list, 10 of which are almost verbatim1/ Succeed in rearmament of Europe with defence budgets commensurate with the threats and a European Support Fund for Defence Industries to develop them (measure 16 of the UDI project).2/ Establish a European Rapid Reaction Force for emergency missions, the evacuation of nationals and the protection of our maritime routes (measure 15 of the UDI project).4/ Make Europe the first continent to use carbon-free electricity with the exit from fossil fuels before 2050 thanks to nuclear and renewable energies; and put an end to Russian energy by 2025 (measures 8 and 9 of the UDI project).5/ Deploy nuclear energy in willing European countries through massive investments. Europe must actively finance it and launch a major industrial project of reactors and skills. Production is expected to triple by 2050. Our climate and industrial future is at stake (measure 8 of the UDI project).6/ Establish a European Internal Security Council and increase cooperation between police and justice services against terrorism, drug trafficking and paedophilia (measures 14 and 13 of the UDI project).7/ Strengthen the fight against terrorism and radical Islamism by pooling intelligence on radicalised individuals identified in Europe and by ensuring that no subsidies are available. go to associations with values contrary to ours (measure 13 of the UDI project).8/ Better control of our borders. Apply screening and registration procedures and increase the number of European border and coast guards to 30,000 to support Member States in controls and expulsions (measures 17 and 18 of the UDI project).11/ Implement a "Europe 2030 Plan" for a European-style ecology based on growth, production and innovation through a shock of investments and financing mobilising €1,000 billion in investments supported by a common loan of backed by private savings (measure 4 of the UDI project on the "European Livret E").15/ Extend the carbon tax at the borders to our new sectors, such as the automotive industry. From 2026, highly polluting imported cement or steel will be taxed (measure 7 of the UDI project).21/ Impose a European trade shield including:– automatic and massive customs duties in response to any customs tariff against European companies (measure 2 of the UDI project proposing a European OFAC to ensure reciprocity in market access);– "mirror rules" so that imported products comply with the same rules as those imposed on the our companies and farmers (measure 3 of the UDI project);– and "special safeguard clauses" to stop negotiations with countries that do not respect the Paris climate agreement and the Montreal agreement on biodiversity (measure 5 of the UDI project). For these reasons, the current agreement with Mercosur will be abandoned.28/ Adopt a European law to relocate the production of strategic medicines.
