The approved draft law of Member Krištúfková will help mothers of single mothersBratislava 25.11.2021 The law on surrogacy, of which the Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Petra Krištúfková (SME FAMILY) is a member, received the support of the members present at the ongoing 51st session of parliament.

Petra Krištúfková, a member of the We are a family movement, received the support of 134 of the 135 Members present at the ongoing meeting of the National Council of the Slovak Republic with the Act on Surrogacy. The approved amendment is intended to help one of the most vulnerable sections of the population, which are single mothers. "My long-term priority is to help the most vulnerable families, which undoubtedly include single mothers who have to substitute for the missing father of children, have the whole household running from financial to technical side on their shoulders - mothers who are at work and at the same time should already pick up a child from school, mothers who have no one to deal with so that they can breathe a suck and feel such a huge psychological burden. " explained the Member for the Movement We are a Family Petra Krištúfková.The bill in question is intended to remove obstacles to the maintenance provided by abolishing the maximum amount of substitute maintenance provided, which does not reflect the child's justified needs, state of health or other needs. In his work, his petitioner also focused on helping orphans who were not entitled to an orphan's pension.  "Another important help, which the amendment brings is that we will provide substitute maintenance of 70 euros to orphans who have not been entitled to an orphan's pension, as well as to those with an orphan's pension of less than 70 euros, in respect of up to 2700 orphans," said Petra Krištúfková, MEMBER for the We are a Family movement. One of the main aims of this proposal is to target the provision of surrogacy to the widest possible group of dependent children. in order not to fall through the system by removing the condition, which is the amount of the household income, the substitute maintenance will be provided in the amount of the duly determined maintenance determined by the court. It also resolves the situation in order for the mother to receive surrogacy within 30 days of the first unpaid maintenance. Last but not least, if the court increases the amount of the ordinary maintenance, the Office will reimburse the substitute maintenance up to the amount of the ordinary maintenance. "We have proposed the effectiveness of this law from 1 January 2022, so any mother who has been refused maintenance for some reason should apply for it again. I believe that in this way we will make life much easier for them in these difficult times," added Petra Krištúfková, Member for the We are a Family movement.
